John Gabrielson adapted this course from Dr. Randy Atlas’ CBRNE Infrastructure Course in his 40-hour CPTED in-person training.
This course equips law enforcement and security professionals with the knowledge and skills to address and mitigate CBRNE threats to critical infrastructure. Participants will learn to identify common threats and understand how they interact with building systems, as well as evaluate vulnerabilities in design and layout that could exacerbate the impact of an event. The course emphasizes the application of CPTED principles to enhance physical security, control building access, and optimize air handling systems. Students will also explore the importance of HVAC configuration, filtration, and zoning techniques to minimize contaminant spread and protect occupants. Through interactive exercises, video, and audio, learners will develop practical strategies to improve preparedness and reduce risks in real-world situations.
